Payment, store and payroll apps
Payment gateways, your online store and payroll see money before or beside your books. Connecting them sharpens the forecast and adds two checks.
Connect an app
- Open Settings, Books, Connect an app
Search for the app or pick its group: books and billing, payments, online store or payroll.
- Paste the key it asks for
Each app says where to find it. Use read-only keys wherever the app offers them.
- First read
Cass checks the key and reads the history. After that, every night.
What they add
- A sharper cash forecast: money a gateway has collected but not yet sent lands on the day it settles. With Keka, net pay lands on its pay day, and PF and ESI on the 15th.
- The PF and ESI amount on your tax calendar, from the latest pay run.
- Gateway fees above the standard rate: a gateway that kept more than 2.6% of what it collected, with GST.
- Gateway settlement not in the bank: a settlement the gateway says it sent that your confirmed statement doesn't show.
Why they don't count twice
A Razorpay payment is also a receipt in your books. So payments, settlements, orders and pay runs are kept beside the books and summarised in Settings, never added to them. Books apps (Swipe, Refrens, Odoo) are different: their entries are your books.
