DocsCass, your agentic CFO
Meet Cass, your agentic CFO
Cass is the agent inside Cassence. It does the reading a CFO does: every night it goes through your books, works out your cash, burn and runway, and tells you what needs you, why, and what to do about it.
What Cass does
- Reads every source you connect, every night: sheets, bank statements, Tally, Zoho Books and connected apps.
- Works out the numbers: cash in the bank, monthly burn, runway, sales, spending, what customers owe and what you owe suppliers.
- Runs 24 checks a CFO would run, written for Indian tax rules, and explains each problem it finds with the figures behind it. See The 24 checks.
- Turns problems into a fix list, most urgent first, with what each step buys: months of runway, money kept each month, interest avoided.
- Watches for changes since the last read and tells you on the bell and by email.
- Keeps your tax calendar: GST, TDS, PF and ESI dates with the amounts your books show.
- Writes the paperwork you'd otherwise write: the monthly investor update and reminders to late customers, for you to send.
What Cass never does
- Never writes to your books. Every connection is read-only. Cass never edits an entry and never moves money.
- Never invents a figure. Every number is added up from your own entries. If the data isn't there, the card says what is missing instead of guessing.
- Never picks your bank balance. Runway rests on a balance a person confirmed.
- Never sends anything in your name. Reminders and investor updates go from your own email or WhatsApp.
- Never files for you. Filing and sign-off stay with your chartered accountant.
How Cass talks to you
When you open the diagnosis, Cass greets you with a morning brief: what needs you this month, and an offer to walk through it now or later. Walking through steps you item by item: what it is, why, what it costs to wait, and what to do.
Every problem carries a severity in words: act this week, act this month or watch. Changes since the last read appear on the bell; see Alerts and emails.
